Had fun baking these classic seasonal desserts. That taste of ginger and all those spices with the thick molasses flavor just beautifully coming through. Although I was thoroughly enjoying myself while decorating these, I prefer the little men and women to the heavily iced cookies.
I used the classic recipe for the cookies but found a veganised version for the icing as I’m not a huge fan of raw egg whites to make the icing.
Also, I must say I have a new found appreciation for bakers who do intricate designs using a piping bag…they left my fingers stuck in a claw position for a while.
This is my idea of what the days leading up to Christmas should smell like….absolutely heavenly ❤️❤️
